This section, that started in 1984, aims at giving readers of Psicoterapia
e Scienze Umane information on what is published in some of the major
international journals of the field, and allows for individuating and
following their editorial trends over time. The following six journals are
regularly reviewed,
and each journal always in the same issue of the year: in issue no. 1, the
bimonthly journal The International Journal of Psychoanalysis
(reviewed
by Pietro Pascarelli, M.D.); in issue no. 2, the bimonthly journal Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association
(reviewed by Jutta Beltz, M.D., and Luisella Canepa, M.D.) and the quarterly journal
The Psychoanalytic Quarterly
(reviewed by Andrea Castiello d'Antonio, Ph.D.); in issue no. 3, the two
quarterly journals
Contemporary Psychoanalysis
(reviewed by Paolo Migone, M.D.) and Revue Française de Psychanalyse
(reviewed by Mariangela Pierantozzi, M.D.); in issue no. 4, the German monthly
journal Psyche (reviewed by Silvano
Massa, M.D.). At times also other journals are reviewed (see, below, the complete list of
journals reviewed since 1984). After the contents of each
issue and abstracts of selected articles, a commentary on the journals' general editorial
trends is published.
